Keith Bale
Managing Director

Keith is co-director and co-founder of Danu Energy Consulting. He qualified as a mechanical engineer from Aberdeen University and gained a post-graduate degree in Renewable Energy Engineering from Heriot-Watt University. Keith has worked in the renewable energy sector since 2009, prior to which he worked in financial services. His primary area of expertise is project management, where he has built up significant experience in development, technical advisory, pre-construction and construction of onshore wind farms, solar farms and energy storage projects.

John Shanahan

Operations Director

John is a chartered engineer and has been working on renewable energy, grid and substation projects since 2013. Prior to working in the renewable sector, from 2004 he worked on various pharmaceutical, water, transport, environmental and energy projects. John advises on all civil and structural engineering aspects of wind, solar and energy storage projects, in addition to underground grid connections, substations and battery facilities.  He has experience in both design and providing technical advisory services at all stages of renewable energy projects.

 
Peter King
Electrical Engineering Manager & Director

Peter is a chartered electrical engineer and has been working on wind energy projects, both onshore and offshore, since 2007. He is also experienced in delivering solar PV and battery energy storage projects. After graduating he worked in the manufacturing sector for over 15 years with a number of multi-national companies in the UK and Ireland before moving into engineering and energy consultancy.

Peter advises on all electrical and control aspects of renewable projects from initial feasibility assessments through to grid connection, design, construction, commissioning and attainment of final operation notification. He currently sits on the EirGrid’s Grid Code Review Panel and the all-island Joint Grid Code Review Panel as wind energy representative.

Cormac Ó Dubhthaigh
Civil Engineering Manager & Director

Cormac is an experienced chartered civil engineer who has worked in the renewable energy sector since 2009, primarily involved in the design of wind farm, solar farm and energy storage projects in Ireland and further afield. Prior to that he worked for over a decade in the structural design of buildings and bridges in several leading engineering consultancy firms in Ireland and Australia.

Cormac specialises in the structural design of wind turbine foundations, along with all civil engineering aspects of renewable projects from pre-planning stage right through to detailed design and construction stage, as well as assessments of operational projects.
